Translation + Rotation = Animation
Dear Readers,
It might sound ridiculous but since I started studying Animation last year, I couldn't help but notice one thing: the art of Animation (at least in its CG form), in its practical application to a software, is really just about translating and rotating objects (through their control curves).
So what you ask. Well, as a translator by training (by translator, I mean a professional who translates from one language into another), it's just a (somewhat) funny notion that I should go from Translating to Animating. It's just as if I was just adding a "Rotation" tool to my toolbox....
I know, I know, it doesn't make any sense but hey, as the pun is actually included in the header of this blog, I thought: why not allude to it.
Cheers,
Charles
